Pumpkin Patch Adventures

My parents have never been the spontaneous types. Everything we do as a family has to be thought out and planned ahead of time (a little ironic since we struggle with being late). So when my mom woke me and my sister up this morning to tell us she wanted us to come with her and my brothers to a pumpkin patch to take some pictures, I wasn't exactly thrilled about it.

A girl with my texture hair NEEDS to be notified of any picture day at LEAST 24 hours before the pictures need to be taken..

After a short panic attack I decided to suck it up and do the best I could. I wet my hair in the shower and when I came out, used Cantu's Natural Hair Curl Activator Cream and an oil from Carols Daughter.

Moving on to the make-up, I used a mixture of Revlon's Color Stay Palate and Urban Decay's Gwen Stefani Palate to make a sort of grey-toned smokey eye. I am by no means a make-up artist, but I did the best I could trying to replicate my ideal look without any setting spray and it came out pretty good! I finished the look with foundation, Rose Gold Blush by Milani, and a very sheer touch of  Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Raisin Rage.

As for the OOTD:

I can't remember exactly where I got the jeans, but the poncho I got on clearance from Wet Seal and the shoes I got from Kholes.

This trip made year two of our newly annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Both times haven't exactly been as exciting as Disney World, but walking around the patch seeing the excitement of my brothers as they jump from each mount of pumpkins to the other is always the highlight of the whole trip.
